SiteSignal Terms of Service

Effective date: November 5, 2026

1. Operator and agreement

SiteSignal is operated by NetCoreSolutions.com LLC (also called "NetCore Solutions," "we," "us," or "our"). Our mailing address is NetCoreSolutions.com, PO Box 61, Plainfield, IL 60544. These Terms govern the SiteSignal website and scanning service at sitesignal.netcoresolutions.com and any replacement address we designate (the "Service").

You accept these Terms by checking the agreement box in the Service, for example before you run a free scan or make a purchase. We record which version you accepted and when. If you do not agree, do not submit scans or make purchases. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.

The Refund Policy and Data Retention Policy are part of this agreement. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. SiteSignal purchases are governed by this agreement, not the general terms for the NetCoreSolutions.com marketing website. Separately contracted professional services are governed by their own written agreement.

2. Scope and limitations

SiteSignal performs a limited, automated review of a submitted website's publicly accessible surface: the requested page and a bounded set of same-origin pages or scripts. Checks may include HTTPS/HSTS, browser-protection headers, cookie flags, mixed content, and signs of exposed credentials. Reports show the scope and coverage of the checks performed.

The Service is not a penetration test, a full vulnerability assessment, continuous monitoring, malware removal, a compliance audit, or a certification. It does not test logged-in areas, databases, business logic, or all APIs. A completed scan means the stated checks ran within the reported limits. "No findings" does not mean a website is secure or compliant.

Results reflect what we saw at the time of the scan. Findings may be incomplete, out of date, false positives, or false negatives. AI-assisted explanations may contain errors. Reports give automated security information and suggested fixes, not an individually retained professional security assessment, legal opinion, or compliance determination.

3. Authorization to scan

You confirm that you own or operate the submitted website, or that you have permission from someone with authority to approve these checks. On that basis, you authorize us and our service providers to perform the limited checks described in the Service, including any recheck you request. Your authorization does not extend to third-party systems or resources outside your authority.

The authorization checkbox records your statement; it does not verify ownership or create permission you do not have. We keep a record of that answer (see the Data Retention Policy). We may ask for more evidence of authorization, decline a scan, or stop a scan that raises authorization, abuse, or safety concerns. Do not use SiteSignal to request access-control bypass, logged-in testing, exploitation, credential use, private-network probing, or disruptive testing.

4. Free scans and limits

Free scans are limited to protect the Service. Today the limits are: 1 free scan per website every 30 days, 5 free scans per IP address per day, and 20 free scans per IP address every 30 days. We may change these limits to prevent abuse; the current limits are shown in the Service when they apply.

5. Accounts and access

Free results may be available through an anonymous browser session. Paid access uses a verified email address and emailed sign-in links or sessions, not a SiteSignal password. Protect your email account, sign-in links, and downloaded reports. Do not share sign-in links publicly or impersonate anyone. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for accurate account information and authorized use of your account. We may verify identity before account recovery, privacy requests, or changes affecting paid entitlements.

6. Purchases and usage

Prices, any applicable taxes, included features, and usage limits are shown before payment. The Refund Policy covers single reports, prepaid credits, rechecks, and refunds. Purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions, unless you separately and expressly agree to a different offering.

Paid reports stay available for the period in the Data Retention Policy; buying a report does not buy permanent hosted storage. Download reports you want to keep. Later price changes do not reduce credits or purchases you already have. Optional future products, subscriptions, resale rights, or white-label services require separately disclosed terms.

7. Guidance and implementation

You decide whether and how to make suggested changes. Review guidance with a qualified developer or security professional where appropriate; back up affected systems, test changes, and keep a rollback plan. SiteSignal does not modify your website, server, or code. Responsibility for relying on guidance is subject to Sections 12 and 13 and applicable law.

A request for help or an automatically prepared contact message does not by itself create a consulting engagement. Professional fixes require a separate written scope and agreement with NetCore Solutions.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for unauthorized scanning, unlawful conduct, infringement, harassment, exploiting findings, interfering with systems, getting around limits, fraudulent payments, or accessing another customer's reports. Do not submit passwords, private keys, payment-card data, regulated sensitive records, or other information not needed for the scan or guidance.

Do not use findings to gain unauthorized access or to publicly disclose another party's suspected secrets. Report sensitive findings privately to the authorized website owner. We may apply reasonable safeguards and rate limits and investigate suspected misuse.

9. Intellectual property and report use

We and our licensors keep our rights in SiteSignal's software, branding, templates, and other proprietary materials. You keep the rights you hold in content you submit. You give us limited permission to process that content as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy; you do not give us ownership of your website.

Subject to these Terms, you may download, keep, and share reports you lawfully obtained with your employees, advisers, developers, and the authorized website owner or client for security review and fixes. Do not present a report as a certification, alter it in a misleading way, or resell or white-label SiteSignal as your own service without a separate agreement. Reports may contain third-party material; we do not grant rights that belong to others or promise exclusive ownership of AI-generated wording.

10. Nonpublic information

We use nonpublic account information, reports, and support content to provide, protect, and run the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We limit access to people and service providers who need it and who have appropriate confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information at your direction, as required by law, or as described in that policy. These commitments do not create an attorney-client relationship or legal privilege.

11. Suspension, termination, and discontinuation

We may suspend affected access when reasonably needed to address security threats, suspected fraud, unauthorized scanning, payment disputes, or material violations. Where practical and lawful, we will explain why and give you a chance to resolve it. We may act immediately when delay risks harm. You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time.

Refunds, disputes, and remaining credits are handled under the Refund Policy. A pending chargeback does not automatically forfeit unrelated purchases. If we permanently discontinue the paid Service or end your access for our convenience (not because of your material breach), we will refund unused purchased credits at their share of the price you paid and handle undelivered paid benefits under that policy. We will give reasonable advance notice and a chance to download reports where practical.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, ERROR-FREE REPORTS, COMPLETE DETECTION, OR ANY PARTICULAR SECURITY, REMEDIATION, OR COMPLIANCE OUTCOME.

These disclaimers do not override an express commitment in this agreement or the Refund Policy, or rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING INDIRECT LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY.

Subject to the exceptions below, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service and this agreement will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the total fees you paid us for SiteSignal during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This is a total limit, not a separate amount for each claim.

These limits do not apply to our fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not reduce refunds or repayment of unused credits owed under the Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer protections remain available.

14. Business-customer indemnity

If you use SiteSignal on behalf of a business, you will cover our reasonable losses, damages, and defense costs from a third-party claim to the extent caused by your knowing submission of an unauthorized scan, unlawful misuse, or infringement through content you provide. This does not cover losses caused by our breach, negligence, or misconduct, or ordinary good-faith use of the Service.

We will promptly tell you about a covered claim, reasonably cooperate, and let you control the defense with competent counsel. No settlement may admit fault by us, impose non-money obligations on us, or fail to release us without our written consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold. This section does not apply to an individual acting only as a consumer.

15. Changes

We may improve or change the Service. Changes will not take away purchased credits, refund rights you already have, or promised benefits for completed purchases. For material changes to these Terms, we normally give at least 30 days' notice through the Service and, for registered users, by email. Legally required or urgent security changes may take effect sooner, with an explanation where practical.

Updates show their effective date. We ask you to accept again where required. A new date on a webpage alone is not meant to show acceptance of materially different terms. Existing claims stay under the terms that applied when they arose unless we both validly agree otherwise.

16. Illinois law and Cook County courts

Illinois law, without its conflict-of-laws rules, and applicable federal law govern this agreement. Subject to non-waivable rights and legally required alternative forums, disputes will be brought in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois or, when federal subject-matter jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division. Each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. This does not create federal subject-matter jurisdiction or waive protections that the law does not let you waive.

You may contact us to try to resolve a problem informally, but you do not have to before bringing a legally available claim, and doing so does not shorten any legal deadline. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not contain a class-action waiver.

17. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies to the extent lawful. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. This agreement and the policies it includes are the full agreement about SiteSignal, unless a separately signed agreement expressly controls the same subject.

The Refund Policy controls purchase and refund details; the Data Retention Policy controls retention periods; these Terms control other contract matters. The Privacy Policy describes data practices. Mandatory law controls over any inconsistent provision.

You may not transfer your account or this agreement without our consent, except where the law says otherwise. We may assign this agreement as part of a genuine reorganization, move to a business entity, merger, or business transfer to a successor that takes on the applicable obligations, subject to required notice, consent, and legal limits. We will identify any successor operator and its effective date.

Provisions that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement, including payment and refund obligations already owed, permitted use of downloaded reports, confidentiality, liability, and dispute terms, survive to the extent applicable.
